AKGMA - RECOGNITION & CELEBRATION
The Akwa Ibom Gospel Award was born out of a desire to celebrate, appreciate, and encourage every single person who is an active participant in the establishment, growth, and development, of every activity in the Gospel Music Industry of Akwa Ibom State. We are blessed with a lot of practitioners who are passionate and committed to the course of making Gospel Music in the state thrive and survive through all times, and most times, these people are not given the crown they deserve. Sadly, they get little or no recognition for their energy and hard work and sometimes do not reap the result of their efforts. The most painful part is that there are some songs the original owners are not known. Some have their songs grow big but no reward to match up the hard work they invest.
It was on this premise that we put together this award to celebrate those who have invested their time, resources, creativity, and everything that they have to make Gospel Music in Akwa Ibom State grow and stay stronger and better, over the years. We believe that this will be an encouragement to everyone in the industry and also let them know that they are valued, loved, and appreciated for all they do for the industry and the state at large. We are also celebrating the newcomers into the industry delivering excellence in their music. We understand that appreciation is a booster for more, hence, this gesture from us.
This award will also celebrate key players in the industry who aren't musicians but are committed with their time, resources, and every other thing they have to make Gospel Music in Akwa Ibom State grow bigger and better.
We are unbiased with the parameters we will use to nominate, vote, and announce the winners in all of our categories (also those that will be given honorary awards) as they are all based on merit. The essence of this award is to give those deserving of the honor and we have strategically and carefully put everything in place to ensure credibility in this award.
